Get Results in Weeks, Not Years!
For families traveling long distances or children who might benefit from getting support on a compressed schedule, our team of specialists can provide intensive treatment tailored to a child’s specific educational and learning needs.
Intensive treatment can have a big impact in a short period of time. By accelerating the pace of treatment, children can develop the skills they need to succeed sooner, boosting their learning and their self-confidence, while enhancing their awareness of their strengths and weaknesses.
Our team has expertise in providing intensive reading, writing, and math remediation, as well as intensive skills training for children with executive functioning weaknesses or organizational difficulties.
Multidisciplinary Treatment
Just as our methods are multisensory, the process instruction method that we have pioneered is cross-disciplinary, utilizing knowledge from neurology, cognitive psychology, linguistics, and latest brain research. Numerous studies and papers have examined the sensory-cognitive functions that our programs develop.
Some of the programs that have been shown to be effective for kids with dyslexia include:
- The Wilson Method
- The Orton-Gillingham Approach
- The Lindamood-Bell Program
- Preventing Academic Failure (PAF)
- RAVE-O
Follow-up Care
Following intensive treatment, Children’s Performance clinicians work with each family to develop a transition plan for ongoing support. Local families who require active care can elect to continue working with our team, or we can help refer to other treatment providers. For families who have traveled long distances for treatment, our clinicians can aid in connecting to community providers. Our staff may also be available on a time-limited basis for consultation or training for school staff.
